Welcome to the "Lost in Nyll" Website.

This is a Website I made to keep all of the information on Lost in Nyll (the audio drama I'm making) in one place.

(note - Lost in Nyll is a temporary name, I'm still trying to chose a name for the series.)

I also made it because I recently learned to code websites and have been trying to find reasons to put that skill to use ever since.

Plot:

Six teenagers aged 14-20 suddenly fall asleep when nobody is around, and when they wake up they find themselves in an abandoned ruin of a shrine. When they look out they see a chaotic world very different from their own. There are many different areas in it, making it look like several realms/dimensions have crashed together into this one strange plane. Unusual and unfamiliar things govern this world. The magic in it so seemingly chaotic that even the most well versed and wise spellcasters could only just begin to understand it on their own. The group, who are almost all strangers to each other, must try to survive in the wilderness and find a way back to their home dimension/universe. Along the way they will unravel mysteries, and meet a myriad of foes.

Once the group travels down from the shrine (which is on a mountain), they eventually meet a Wizard who reveals that them being teleported here was caused by a grave magical mishap, and they must find ingredients and other wizards within this shattered universe they are in so that they can help to refine the spell and go back home. They do not first suspect anything, just as they're about to leave they find out that the wizard has more sinister intentions, and they have unintentionally helped him to finalize the same spell he will use to take over the realms. They try to fight him but realize they are in way over their heads. The wizard completes his promise to them and sends them all back to their home dimension, and then Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger. Will they figure out how to get back and stop the wizard, or will they allow many realms to be taken over by the dastardly wizard?

Along their journey they form bonds with others, strike deals with dangerous individuals, meet many unexpected dangers, and unravel convoluted webs of lies and secrets across the land.

The season ends with a bitter victory, and a cliffhanger, promising more tales of the group to come.

Main Characters:

Ven Ravel (15) - Tiefling
Female teen voice, close to androgynous but still feminine, going through puberty
A quiet, calculating tiefling with faintly glowing tattoos that smolder whenever they try to cast magic. Believes they were cursed at birth, but hasn't been able to get any real answers. Highly sarcastic. Their biggest fear is losing others. Assumes everyone is always afraid of them because of their horns and their race (they are partially demon afterall), but they can be soft and caring once you get to know them. Overprotective

Tavin Holt (17) - Human
Male teenager voice
He's the Athlete type. Has won countless school awards for his athleticism. Overconfident and Cocky. Constantly trying to prove he’s different and not just a boring human. Feels that he doesn’t belong in the fantasy world he’s lived in all his life, with so many interesting races and creatures and then boring old humans like him. Extra resilient in this new, strange world that they don’t quite understand. His cockiness can often get him into trouble, in a world where human strength and speed pales in comparison to all of the fantastical creatures and magic.

Kess Thornfield (15) - Changeling
Androgynous voice
Kess is often quiet, and stutters under stress. They love music, and like to hum beautiful melodies whenever they think they’re alone. Self-doubting. They’re their own worst enemy. Heavy body dysmorphia. Shifts between forms when stressed, it can be small changes like their eye or hair colour, or it could be larger changes such as becoming different shapes or races. Changes their body to something different every day, trying to get it right, though they never quite feel right in their own skin. They’re always trying their best to be accepted by others. Protective of friends.

Phibbin Bogtail (12) - Frogfolk
Male young/cute voice
Phibbin is the youngest of the group. He is Innocent and often appears clueless, but is full of heart. He's the loudest and is extremley excitable. A lovable charachter. Eats flies and bugs. Can be surprisingly brave when needed.

Rin Yuna (20) - Kitsune
Female young adult voice
The second oldest of the group, Rin often acts somewhat motherly and gentle to the younger ones. However, she is also deceptivley clever and loves to figure out puzzles. She enjoys wordplay and riddles, and is always thinking three steps ahead. She is quick to laugh, but masks her depression and lonlieness in front of the others. Finds herself feeling numb on the inside, and is most times more concerned about others than herself. However, this journey may be just what she needs to experience a sense of joy and adventure again.

Thalos Vale (42) - Centaur
Male old gruff voice
Constantly feels compelled to protect the group, but deep down doesn't feel that he's worthy. Was a loner before being taken to this world, only hanging out with Phibbin when the young one was finished with school. He is a little rough around the edges, and distrustful of strangers, but becomes fiercely loyal once his trust is earned, defending his friends untill the death if needed. He is tormented by a violent happening at a young age. Has no one he cares about more that Phibbin. Often takes late watches even when not asked to do so, getting little sleep at night, though he tries to hide it from the others in the morning.

Story Info

Format

A scripted fiction audio drama that mixes fantasy, light horror, and comedy in an adventurous narratave. Presented by a group of strangers that eventually become close friends.

Setting

The setting mainly takes place in a fantasy world based on mideval times called Nyll (work in progress name). The world is rooted in structured magical systems, though to most they seem to be chaotic. Around the world there are magical spells, curses, and artifacts littered around in different forgotten and lost structures.

Tone

The tone is focused mostly around Fantasy, though there are often also more creepy elements to it. This atmosphere is accompanied by snappy character banter and dark humor, as well as character interaction and growth. The horror, comedy, magic, and mystery are all mixed together to create a suspenseful and fun story.

Structure

The series follows a seasn-long overarching storyline, with each episode having its own storyline as well. Episodes are all full of their own different supernatural or strange experiences, and innumerable different kinds of creatures good and bad within the strange world. The characters will also all have their own seperate arcs overcoming or accepting their faults and growing as people.

Audience

This series is mainly aimed at a younger (teen) audience, but can be enjoyed by any age.

This podcast will be similar to ones like "6 Minutes" and "The Unexplainable Dissapearance Of Mars Patel"
